wow, shoji lake was quite the experience, if you enjoy hard beds and lights waking you at dawn. I dare say, I expected at least a complimentary snack for my trouble. the view was nice, but that hardly makes up for the outdated decor. I almost gave a good review, but just couldn’t.

We had an awesome time soaking in the private hot springs and enjoying the lovely rooftop terrace with views of Mt. Fuji. The only downside was that the hallways felt a little outdated, but our room was modern and cozy. Pro tip, grab some snacks from the lobby before dinner, as options nearby close early! 🌟

I had a lovely two-night stay at Shoji Lake Hotel. The welcoming staff made me feel right at home with tea upon arrival. The room offered an exquisite view of Mt. Fuji and the surrounding lake, which was simply breathtaking, especially at sunset.

The onsen was a highlight, especially being able to soak at night! The room had a cozy vibe, but it felt a bit old in some areas.
